Update Procedure

This procedure allows you to update firmware 1.1.115 to version 1.1.117 via FTP

The update maintains all device configurations including the telephone numbers entered.

For this procedure it is necessary to use a SIM with a tariff plan that
includes internet data. (at least 500 Kbytes are needed for the procedure)

-Step 1: Configure the APN for web browsing.

The APN is a parameter necessary to allow the Bgates GT to make a data connection. Check the APN of your operator.

to configure the APN use the following command via SMS:
passwd,E,APNSET,APN of the operator.

For example, if the SIM is from the TIM operator, and the device password is 0000, the command to be sent via
SMS will be as follows:

0000,E,APNSET,ibox.tim.it

Upon receiving the command, the Bgates GT device will respond with an SMS:
“Command accepted”

-Step 2: Command to update the firmware

The command to send to carry out the firmware update procedure is the following:

0000,E,FTPCHECK

Upon receiving the command, the Bgates GT device will respond with an SMS:
“Command accepted”

The firmware update takes approximately 2 minutes. If the operation is completed successfully,
the Bgates GT device will respond with an SMS of the type:

"FTP RESULT OK : 0 Len:153460”

Upon receipt of the SMS confirming the update, the device will restart and if queried via SMS with the

status request (passwd,E,PING) should respond with an SMS of the type:

GT running, firmware: 1.1.117 , Signal: 30(Excellent),
Smart: ON, A3, A1, M:1, B0, C1, PS:2.0, DS:10, DC:0,
Timer:0, Areboot:0, Relay: OFF
